Having moved to Australia I have found a new routine.
One I now spend more time on than I used to.

It’s time in the bathroom.

Even though I am a bumpkin (country person) and not a city beaut I have found these products work and are essential for living down under.

First up, before shower dry body brush, yes dry! I didn’t realise but by brushing before you shower you rub off all the dead and dry skin. Body brushing has heaps if benefits which I had no idea about but the best thing is my skin has never been so soft or looked this good.

You can read more about body brushing benefits here

Next it’s into the shower where I use Palmers cocoa butter moisturising shower cream and wash my face with Cetaphil, great cleanser no gunk left behind to make your skin worse instead if better.

Out the shower I towel dry but whilst still slightly damp slap on some Palmers cocoa moisturiser, then some Cetaphil moisturiser with 30+ UV protection.

After dressing I apply everyday sun tan lotion to any bits prone to burning like arms, chest and neck.

If I’m popping into town or going out for diner I’ll wear BB cream which evens everything out in my face and adds another 15+ UV protection.

Oh and a big essential item is insect repellant as go without and you’ll end up being bitten and left with itchy red lumps all over which you then have to get applying bio oil onto to get rid of the scarring. This repellant is not so good, I’m on the look out for a better one maybe not a spray so it goes on my skin and not in the air.

About once a week I’ll have a soak in the bath with some salts, pumice my feet and scrub my nails.

It’s quite a procedure for a Bumpkin not a beauty queen, I’m just trying to keep my skin safe and healthy.

Anyway just thought I’d share my not so glamorous beauty routine ;-)
